Interagency police work nets arrest for meth

Keizer Police, along with Salem Police SWAT Team members, searched two homes in Salem and Silverton Wednesday, Aug. 11, for investigations related to burglary and theft.

Search warrants were served simultaneously at 5 a.m. at 4172 Hayesville Drive NE in Salem and at 201 South James Street, Apt. 7, in Silverton. Investigators were on both scenes as of press time.

The interagency investigation has thus far resulted in one arrest. Guy Soucy, of the Hayesville Drive address, was arrested and charged with possession and delivery of an controlled substance –  in this case, methamphetamine – along with frequenting a place where drugs are sold.

Keizer Police Capt. Jeff Kuhns said the warrants were in relation to incidents commited in Keizer in recent weeks, including burglary, theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
