January 22 is the last day to purchase tickets for one the biggest events in Keizer.
“Made of Magic,” this year’s Keizer Chamber of Commerce First Citizen’s Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Keizer Civic Center.
Each year the banquet awards honors to the people chosen as Keizer’s First Citizen, Merchant of the Year and Service to Education. The recipient of this year’s President’s Award will be announced by immediate past Chamber president Joe Egli.
Som past winners of the Keizer First Citizen Award have included Roland Herrara, Clint Holland, Charlene Weathers, Greg Frank and Dave Walery.
The featured entertainment will be Scott Anderson’s Operation Magic, an “America’s Got Talent” contestant.
Social hour begins at 5 p.m. Dinner and awards will start at 7 p.m. “Operation Magic” will take to the stage at 9 p.m.
Roth’s is catering a dinner buffet.
