Organizers of the popular Salem Saturday Market will bring their farmers market to Keizer three times this summer in hopes of expanding to running every week in 2013.

The Keizer Friday Market is scheduled to be held at the Keizer Civic Center on July 20, August 17 and August 31. Hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m.

“The new Friday Market will make same high quality and variety of products seen at the popular Salem Saturday Market,” said Tina Schneider, a member of the board. “Customers who want fresh produce, flowers and other local products to enjoy over the weekend will now be able to purchase them on Friday.”

Schneider said that Keizer is a great place for a Farmers Market. “The community is very supportive of local food producers and artisans,” she said.

The Keizer market is slated to set up in the public park around the splash fountain at the Civic Center. It will be easily accessible for neighbors by foot or bicycle.

New vendors are encouraged to apply for the new Keizer market. To receive an application or to get more information call 503-585-8264, or e-mail [email protected]
