Hotel bankruptcy causes concerns

Of the Keizertimes

Keizer Hospitality Inc., doing business as the Keizer Renaissance Inn, filed for bankruptcy with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon last month.

Paul Plunk, general manager for Renaissance Inn since 2004, confirmed the news.

“There was a Chapter 11 filed,” Plunk said. “That is the workout chapter. It was filed.”

According to paperwork filed March 5, a meeting of creditors set for March 28 was pushed back to April 4 in Eugene, but that was pushed back again to May. There were 75 creditors listed, including the Keizertimes.

Plunk said there was no impact on daily operations at the Renaissance Inn, Keizer’s only hotel.
